How these pages are made

Type. Literata for editorial Latin, IBM Plex Sans for the interface, IBM Plex Mono for identifiers. Traditional Chinese is set in Noto Serif and Noto Sans CJK TC, sliced by unicode range from the full builds so that rare characters are present; Korean in Gowun Batang and IBM Plex Sans KR, with the whole Hangul syllabary. Latin keeps its own faces in every language mode.

Colour. Palette E2 in light, E4 in low light. Graphite carries the source material, the principal prose and the human argument; lapis-gray carries computational mediation, comparison, provenance and the Pivot. Lapis never reads as more authoritative than graphite. Dark mode is never black.

Line. The bow, a long rule with a barely perceptible curve, divides sections. The pivoted rule, bending once, marks a change of level.

The mark. 機 marks a consequential change of interpretive state and nothing else: on a work page it appears at the claim, where an inference returns to its source, and at the provenance record, where a run becomes an account. It is not a bullet, an arrow, a loading sign or a decoration.

Build. Static pages generated by tools/build_pivot_site.py from data/distillation.sqlite through the shared production shell. The query interface is the same database served over SQL. No page is written by hand and no content is generated at render time.
